Proposal – Day 2

I had known that Saturday, December 17th, 2011 was going to be the big day, but I did not have any set in stone plans on when would be the perfect moment, so I once again carried the ring around with me all day!  I was so worried that Holly was going to feel it in my pocket that I was always aware of where it was and even avoided the coat check at the MET.

The day started out with a walk towards the park, where on the way we stopped at Ess-a-Bagel. I had heard it was one of the best bagel places in the city and it lived up to that expectation!  We then strolled through Central Park with the MET as a destination since last time we were in the city, we had a large backpack and could not get in.  After touring the whole museum, we stopped and had wine and hummus overlooking the main hall.  It was awesome!

After dressing up all fancy back at the hotel, we left  to head to Rockefeller center with the intention of going ice skating. In the end the line for ice skating was too long, and there was none to visit the Top of the Rock.  This seemed like the perfect place to get down on one knee and ask the question.  I started getting really nervous while finalizing what I was going to say.  I waited until we were on the very top of level overlooking the Empire State building and finally asked the question!  The rest of the evening was so magical with all of the Christmas lights and a perfect dinner to finish off the night!

Continue on to the adventures of Day 3!
